OSF Launch's Blood Testing 03/27/2011
Onslaught Fights is committed to promoting a show dedicated to excellence and safety. Starting immediatley, Onslaught Fights will require all fighters to provide blood work testing results for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV which will be valid for 6 months. Every state with the exception of Virginia requires this blood work to be completed at the amateur level by the fighter. OSF will be the first and only promotion in VA to address this essential issue by requiring all fighters to undergo this basic testing. OSF is only committed to bringing in the most serious and prestigious fighters- if blood work is an issue for you as a fighter to obtain, you need not apply. OSF is ultimately committed to the safety of the fighters and fans. Every time you step into the cage against an opponent without proper blood work testing, you are at risk- and likewise for your opponent. If you have any questions on this matter, please do not hesitate to call the promoter/matchmaker Terry Linton at 540-333-0699
"I believe that if a fighter is serious about his career, and can go out and spend the time training at a gym, and buy all the training gear he needs to better himself as a athlete, then a simple blood test should not be a issue. You can always replace your training gear, but you cannot replace your health. The last thing I want to see is a fighter, or even more, a Fan, contract something from a fighter. If blood testing becomes a issue for a fighter, he can fight somewhere else, because no other promotion in the state requires this. I won't have this happen in my promotion. OSF has always been about promoting the best fighters on the east coast, and we do a very good job at helping these fighters become successful in their careers"
Terry Linton
